Doesn’t it seem like every day something we thought was good for us is found to be bad? You know what I mean – one day coffee is bad for you – no, wait – today it reduces your risk of diabetes – it’s good for you! Or, eggs raise cholesterol, eat bagels or cereal instead. Oh, wait a minute – eggs really don’t raise cholesterol. Never mind!
It’s confusing at best and paralyzing at worst. You can go nuts trying to stay ahead of all the “latest research.” But I think a better way is to get back to basics. I always recommend that people eat nutrient-dense, whole foods in a form as close to how God created it. Well, as you will see in this article by Natural News, many of the things we instinctively knew were good, really are good for us!
For example, it’s always made me wonder how cholesterol could be “bad” for you, when God created our bodies to make cholesterol. I don’t believe He has put anything in our bodies that isn’t necessary for our good. We are the ones who mess things up. Now research shows that cholesterol is a very critical substance for health and it doesn’t cause heart disease, inflammation does. It gets out of balance by nutritional choices we make.
Meat, dairy and eggs are NOT the villains they’ve been made out to be. It all comes down to the quality of the food – these are whole foods. As long as we consume the best quality meat and dairy from green fed and finished animals and eggs from free range chickens, they provide excellent nutrition.
