They may reduce the risk of breast and prostate cancer as well as diabetes;
Their antioxidants also boost heart health and support healthy cholesterol levels;
As little as 1 oz. a day can improve cardiovascular health;
They are a rich source of minerals;
According to a study by researchers at Penn State University, a diet rich in walnuts and walnut oil may prepare your body to deal better with stress;
They are anti-inflammatory and have anti-aging properties;
The ALA they contain improves bone health;
Eating walnuts is also associated with increased satiety after just three days so they are a potent weight loss food. You can eat a handful as a snack, put them on your salad or in your oatmeal or smoothie.
