Salt is salt right? We are supposed to cut out salt because it raises blood pressure, causes strokes and heart attacks. Many doctors and medical experts call salt a villain that will ruin your health. But is that really true?
When I hear things like this it reminds me that these same experts warned people to replace healthy fats like butter with margarine and to go on a low fat diet for a healthy heart. Time has proven that to be terrible advice and the statistics for heart disease bear it out.
These experts need to be more specific than just “salt.” They need to explain that it is white, processed, table salt, which is just sodium chloride that should be eliminated. People who eat a lot of processed, packaged foods get way too much of this salt and if they also salt their food with white table salt, they are on their way to high blood pressure and more!
Replacing table salt with what one doctor calls therapeutic salts like Celtic sea salt, Himalayan Crystal salt or pink salt was proven in a Finland study to lower heart disease. Why? Well, because these salts contain sodium chloride as well as magnesium, potassium and 80+ other trace minerals!
Using one of these natural, unprocessed sea salts will provide minerals that will keep you alkaline. You can’t even produce digestive acid without salt. One expert stated that just by eliminating table salt and substituting one of these natural, unprocessed salts there could be a 60% reduction in heart disease and stroke!
Including one of these healthy salts with the proper amount of water daily is a foundational part of my 3D Living program, as well as my Today’s the Day plan for weight loss. Simply increasing your intake of water and replacing white table salt with natural, unprocessed salt can make a dramatic improvement in overall health, including weight loss and increased energy.
What kind of salt do you use?

Ann,
I love salt. I use regular salt and sea salt. I will try the Himalayan salt the next time I’m in the health food store.
Have a Victorious Day!

I also love pink salt. I actually use it to increase minerals intake.
