You know how people say that 50 is the new “40” because people look younger than their years? We here’s a scary twist on that. This Natural News article says 30 is the new 45 because people today are being diagnosed with disease 33% earlier than their grandparents! That’s truly alarming. Every other commercial on TV is about a new pharmaceutical drug (including a never-ending list of possible side-effects) that promises to resolve any number of health woes. Evidently they are not working as well as the media would have us believe.
The article mentions several reasons for this alarming trend as well as the author’s suggestions for turning it around.
In a similar article by Life Extension this writer focuses on people in the UK but the result is the same. He says the younger generation is 15 years ahead of the older generation on the pathway to increasing frailty, disability and ill health due, in his opinion, to poor diet and lack of exercise. And I would have to agree with that assessment.
As a mom it breaks my heart to see our children becoming overweight, overwhelmed and suffering from adult on-set diseases, especially when it is completely preventable.
Do these statistics surprise you?

These statistics don’t surprise me at all. It’s a shame that we’re going in the opposite direction as a society. Hopefully people will start to get it through their heads that they need to take care of themselves instead of depending on drugs.
I agree – it’s really shameful that instead of living longer, healthier lives, the opposite seems to be happening.

Ann,
The statistics don’t suprise me, but they sadden me.
Have a Victorious Day!
